The University has appointed Professor Kwok Wai Luen Andrew as the new Associate Vice-President (Curriculum and Pedagogies
The University has appointed Professor Kwok Wai Luen Andrew (郭偉聯教授) as the new Associate Vice-President (Curriculum and Pedagogies) from 1 November 2024 to 31 October 2026.
Professor Kwok is currently Professor of Academy of Chinese, History, Religion and Philosophy, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, and Director of General Education. He was a recipient of the President’s Award for Outstanding Performance in Teaching of HKBU in 2018, and former Head of the Department of Religion and Philosophy (2022-24) and Associate Dean of the Faculty of Arts (2021-22).
As Associate Vice-President (Curriculum and Pedagogies), Professor Kwok will head the revamp of the University Core and General Education programme. He will also guide the expansion of solution-based learning and the adoption of authentic assessment in the University.
