Evil, Sin, and Christian Theism by Dr. Andrew Loke

This book addresses the problem of evil, which is particularly relevant in a world that has recently suffered from the COVID pandemic and the Ukraine crisis. It moves the discussion ahead in a new, significant way. It uses a transdisciplinary approach to address the problems concerning evil and the Christian doctrine of sin together, and then provides a comprehensive response to objections. The book brings together recent philosophical work on the arguments for Christian theism and recent advances in science and religion to bear on the discussion, including dialogues on human origins. In addition, this book proposes a novel model of Original Sin which avoids the problems of Pelagianism and Augustinianism, and which brings together philosophical arguments concerning the Connection Building Theodicy and transworld depravity. It shows that the doctrine of Original Sin is defensible against philosophical and scientific objections and that it contributes to the response to the problem of evil.
