Abstract:

Philosophers of technology often discuss how technologies "embed" certain values. In recent years, critical voices have highlighted some of the dynamics of power inherent in technologies. And yet, many important perspectives, such as different cultures and ethnicities, socio-economic class, disability, queer identities, or even feminist views have been neglected in philosophy of technology. This colloquium discusses these neglected perspectives and how their neglect or inclusion might change philosophy of technology.
