Digitization of Bibles in the Greater China (from 1661 to 1950)

Dr. Simon Wong (D.Litt., University of Pretoria, South Africa). Born in Hong Kong. Biblical scholar and translation consultant.  Published articles and monograph locally and in international journals.  Honorary Research Associate, Chinese University.  Translation Consultant and Global Translation Advisor, United Bible Societies (2003--present). 

The lecture aims at sharing two major digitization projects, "Digitization of Old Chinese Bibles" (2014-2019) and "Digitization of Bibles of Chinese Dialects and Ethnic Minority Languages in China" (2018-2023), their scopes, impacts and initial findings, undertaken by Dr. Simon Wong for the Digital Bible Library of the United Bible Societies.
