Co-organized by the Jao Tsung-I Academy of Sinology and the Centre for Applied Ethics, the Conference on Early Chinese Thinkers and Warfare Ethics was held on 12-13 December 2014. The goal of the conference was to rethink warfare ethics with the interpretation and construction of traditional Chinese culture. More than 10 eminent experts and scholars from Hong Kong, mainland China, Taiwan and Japan made contributions to the conference, including Prof. Zhu Xiaohung from China People’s Liberation Army Xi’an Institute of Politics, and Prof. Yuasa Kunihiro from Osaka University.
