The HKBU Chinese Debating Team won the "Inter Post-Secondary College Debate Competition 2005" held yesterday (10 April), with Yu Ming-hei named Best Debater. In the contest, the HKBU team opposed the motion "Interpretation of the Basic Law facilitates the implementation of 'One Country, Two Systems'."
"We have to thank our adviser Dr. Leo Cheung and members of the former debating teams for their guidance and support. The competition, organized by Radio Television Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Federation of Students, aims to improve tertiary students' analytical, organizational and presentation skills as well as to encourage them to care about society.
